Champions for Mental Health Dinner and Auctions 2023

Hello to all friends and supporters, My name is Dan Sherven and I am the Fundraiser for the Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan. First, if you have supported us at our past events we would like to thank-you. Last year, with community support we were able to raise over $80,000 for the various programs and services we offer! Now, I am writing you in regards to our upcoming event, Champions for Mental Health featuring Mitch Bourbonniere as our keynote speaker. We are seeking your support to make this a successful fundraising event. Mitch Bourbonniere is a community helper. Mitch has long since been inspired to help others find their voices. A founding member of the Bear Clan Patrol, he also volunteers with Ogijiita Pimatswin Kinamatwin (OPK) the Mama Bear Clan, Drag the Red and many other organizations. He has received two Governor General awards for bravery and meritorious service and the Canadian Humane Association’s Bronze Medal for Bravery and jumping into Winnipeg river to save a young woman’s life in December 2016. In July 2020, Mitch was honoured with the Order of Manitoba. We want to change those numbers and believe this event is a powerful way to reduce stigma. This event will also help us raise money to continue to provide our programs and services to people so they will have hope and the means to cope. The event will be a Dinner and Live/Silent Auctions at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Regina on October 14, 2023. This event will take place from 5:00-10:00 p.m., and Mitch will speak at 8:00 p.m. Please see attached the Save the Date that includes additional information about the event.
